Restoration GAP

Young Adult Ministry

RESTORATION GAP is the new young adult ministry of Restoration Church.

The ministry is headed by Associate Pastor Joshua Roberts.

The mission is to reach young adults to impact our church, our community, and our generation.

RESTORATION GAP

Meets Sunday morning for Sunday school at 10:00am.

Meets Wednesday night for Small group at 6:45am

WE ARE RESTORATION GAP FOR 3 PRIMARY REASONS

1) GAP stands for Graduates And Professionals.

We are not just a college ministry, nor are we just a ministry for the workforce.

We aim to give a place to all young adults!

Regardless of education, career, marital status, or children, the GAP is for you!

2) Our ministry is often neglected in the local church.

For many churches, there are very few options available for students once they graduate from the youth ministry.

Statistics show that the age range of 18 to 25 is a prime location of ministry drop off.

It is during this time when a student leaves high school that they begin searching for their identity, and often times church takes a backseat.

Therefore, we do not want this to happen!

We are the missing piece to help young adults stay grounded in their faith and the local church!

We are the Gap!

3) We are called to be the difference.

In Ezekiel 22, we read an account of God's wrath being poured onto a people.

As you read, it is clear that these people had engaged in sinful living.

Moreover, they were comfortable in their sin

God is displeased with sin. He was then and He is now.

While the engaging in sin is the root problem, verse 30 gives a heartbreaking account, God says:

And I sought for a man among them

who should build up the wall

and stand in the breach before me for the land,

that I should not destroy it,

but I found none.

Ezekiel 22:30 ESV

Another word for the term "breach" is Gap.

God was and is searching for people to be the difference in a broken generation.

We choose not to sit idle, but to take action.

We choose not to engage in sin, but actively display the love of the Savior.

We choose not to float through religious thought, but to stand out as the ones God is looking for.

We choose to be the Gap!
